Mineral Resources reported record first-quarter fiscal 2027 mining services production volumes, up 8%, and record attributable lithium sales, also up 8%. But overall revenue declined 5%, with iron ore shipments down 6% and softer iron ore and lithium prices.
Mineral Resources has grown strongly since listing in 2006. The chair and managing director have been with the business for decades and have meaningful shareholdings.
Mineral Resources' profits are exposed to volatile iron ore prices. We expect future iron ore prices to be much less favorable than the decadelong boom to 2014.
