Summary

DWS RREEF Real Estate Securities benefits from an experienced and consistent management trio. Comanagers David Zonavetch and Bob Thomas handle the day-to-day responsibilities. Zonavetch joined the firm in 1998 and began managing the strategy in August 2013. Thomas cut his teeth for 15 years elsewhere before joining the firm and this strategy in January 2017. Firm veteran John Vojticek’s time on the strategy dates back to 2004, but he now serves more of an oversight role given his duties as head of DWS’ liquid real assets group. Five real estate subsector analysts support the managers, and after a 2026 coverage rotation, an analyst from DWS’ infrastructure team now covers cell tower REITs. The group also benefits from an adjacent internal team that invests directly in real estate and offers insights into local market conditions, an advantage over many peers.
